How to Book


How do I watch The Macbeths?

The new filmed version of the studio show The Macbeths, will be available to watch online from 8pm Thursday 3 June until midnight on Wednesday 30 June. 

Book your free watch at home ticket by clicking the ‘BOOK TO WATCH’ button at the top of the page. Once your booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to watch the film. You will need internet access to watch the film.

How much do tickets cost?

It is free to watch The Macbeths. You need to book a watch at home ticket to access the film. You will be asked if you would like to make an optional donation.

Can I book a ticket by phone?

No, tickets are only available online as the Citizens Theatre Box Office is closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions. However, we are very happy to assist you with your booking. Please email marketing@citz.co.uk with your query and contact details and we will arrange for someone to call you.

Several people in my house want to watch the film, do I have to book multiple tickets?

No, you only need to book one ticket per device. Tickets are free. Please consider making a donation.

Can I share my link with other people?

Please do not share the link with others or share the link on social media.

How do I make a donation?

You will be asked if you would like to make a donation as part of your booking process. You can chose any amount and it will be added to your basket at checkout. Alternatively click the 'DONATE' button at the top of this page. Please note we cannot accept AMEX. 

Where is my donation going?

Can I add gift aid to my donation?

If you are a UK taxpayer you will be given the option to add gift aid to your donation.

What happens to my data when I register?

Your watch at home ticket is booked securely through the Citizens Theatre ticketing website. Your data will reside with the Citizens Theatre in adherence with their data policy. If you choose to make a donation, your data for this transaction will also reside with the Citizens Theatre in adherence with their data policy. How long do I have to watch the film?

The Macbeths will be available to watch online from 8pm Thursday 3 June until midnight on Wednesday 30 June.

How long is the film?

The Macbeths has a running time of approximately 1 hour.

What if I can't watch the show on the 3 June?

No problem, the film will premiere online at 8pm Thursday 3 June. It will then be available to watch for four weeks. You can pause, rewind, or rewatch the show as many times as you like whilst it's available!

I didn’t book a ticket before the premiere, will I still be able to watch it?

Yes, if you book a ticket any time before 5pm Wednesday 30 June you will receive the link to access the film in your sales receipt. It will be available to watch from 8pm Thursday 3 June until midnight on Wednesday 30 June.

Can I watch the film on my TV?

The film of The Macbeths is hosted on YouTube. There are several ways to connect your computer or mobile device to your TV. You can use a HDMI cable or cast via a device such as Chromecast, Amazon Firestick or NowTV. For more information see our how to watch guide.
